​9 Day/8 Night Artist’s Retreat on the Golfo Paradiso​

Join award-winning artist, Timothy Horn, for a week of painting along the Ligurian Sea. 

After you land in Genoa, our retreat will begin with two nights in the historic district to meet each other, adjust to the Italian time zone and explore the incredible old town center. Then we will travel together to Camogli, on what the Italians call “The Golfo Paradiso.” Camogli is truly a paradise for artists with its pastel-colored buildings facing the turquoise sea, the brightly colored fishing boats in the harbor and the charming glimpses of local life: like the laundry hanging out to dry or bins of produce on market day.  Everywhere you turn, there is another wonderful scene inspiring you to paint, sketch or photograph. We will be spending our six nights in Camogli at the luxurious Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi, a 4-star hotel with pool, private beach and beautiful grounds. The bountiful breakfast is served in a room with a wall of windows with panoramic views of town and sea.  

 

This artist’s retreat, organized by Tim Horn and Anne Dinkelspiel, is designed to provide you with the maximum amount of time for your artistic pursuits, but it will also provide you with freedom to explore the area on your own: take a swim in the ocean, people-watch at a café over a cappuccino or have an Italian aperitivo on the hotel terrace while you watch the sunset.  Although there will not be the typical workshop instruction with Tim stopping by your easel as you paint, there will be demos, slide shows, and multiple group critiques.  It’s set up so that you can paint whenever you want, wherever you want, in small groups or on your own. There are endless painting vistas within easy walking distance of our hotel. We will also arrange for group excursions to paint nearby towns and sites, such as a secluded monastery only accessible by sea. We welcome artists working in any medium. Both Tim and Anne have painted in Camogli before and look forward to sharing an amazing adventure with you.  

 

Costs:  

     $3900 - Per person, Double occupancy

     +$900 -  for Single occupancy

     $2970  - Non-painting spouse/friend sharing room with painting participant
