Monhegan Island, Maine

There is a long tradition of painting on this beautiful little island, and for good reason. A small harbor, a village with classic homes and weathered shacks, a beautiful, hilltop lighthouse, a rocky coastline, and only a handful of cars on the whole island make this perfect for painting. Most of us will stay at the same inn, and you’ll be able to share mealtimes and down time.

We’ll walk to all of our painting sites, carrying our own gear, mostly on gravel and dirt roads, which can be uneven and occasionally steep. Details can be forwarded upon request. Accommodations, meals and transportation not included. A block of rooms has been reserved for our group.

U P D A T E: This workshop has been full for months, but several people have canceled due to the pandemic, so I have a few openings. Send me an email (link below) if you think you’d like to join us.  I have reduced the class size from 14 to 10. Non-painting spouses are welcome. Accommodation, transportation and other details provided once signed up.
At this point, my understanding is that if you arrive in Maine from out of state you are required to either self-quarantine for 14 days, OR provide results from a Covid 19 test conducted within 72 hours prior to your arrival.
